New tree, learning about Mezuzahs and the most adorable Jewish cat toy EVAH!!
Put up the new tree this weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, please note that the pre-lit LED tree at Meijer is amazing. Their label is "Q" and costs $129 regular, I got mine on sale. : ) If anybody has been shopping around for a tree... check this one out.
It went up very quickly. Set the stand out. Take out section C and put it in the base, tighten it and start pulling down the branches and voila! It blooms! No really, you start pulling on the bottom branches to come down and they all fall into place, all you have to do is spread the twigs. BEAUTIFUL!!!
Take out section B and pop it into C, bloom the branches and spread the twigs. Plug the B lights into the C lights and grab section A. Throw section A on top of B... this is the only section that you have to pull branches down yourself like the other trees. Big whoop. Plug A into B and plug C into the extension cord... PRETTY LIGHTS!!! BRIGHT lights. Wow. Super awesome tree!!!

Been learning about Mezuzahs (the little scrolls on the right side of the doorway you'll find in many Jewish homes.) I'm going to order one for the front door so we can put it up when MiniKam gets here. We can't do it for OURSELVES now because we've been living in the house for more than 30 days but with the bebe we can put it up and be in the good.
I know the Hebrew prayer you say when you put it up, I know how to put it up and I know how to protect the scroll so that it doesn't get destroyed by weather even though it's in a protective shell it still needs some love.
And here is the most adorable catnip Jewish Cat Toy EVAR... it's "Lox the fish!"

Oh, I'm sorry they say it's Chewish.
"Chewish Treats, the perfect gift for the Jewish family cat! Includes cat nip and little bells for added fun!" - LMAO Freaking adorable!
If you don't find it funny, try thinking of stereotypes and bagels, you'll get it eventually.

Was very VERY freaked out yesterday, was feeling "not pregnant" and at 14 weeks that is one hell of a freaky feeling.
She took us back and used a Doppler to find that tiny heartbeat. What a relief!!!
It was pretty funny, she'd find the heartbeat and it would slowly fade away. Find it again and it would disappear once again. MiniKam is a wiggler. It was such a relief to hear that heartbeat and to know that he/she is still there. I thanked Lisa several times, she’ll never know what a relief that was. MiniKam sat at about 140, just chillin.
I really like Womankind Health & Wellness. The staff are all very wonderful and accommodating of worrywarts like myself. Dr. Balaloski is a delight and informative, Lisa is very kind and reassuring.
In other news, had a delivery last night. Sal & Mei Mei stopped by to drop off the Travel System & Pack n’ Play from our registry. Wow, thank you…. Thank you. Those are two very important things that we needed. I kind of wish I worked at Babies R Us again so I could get the discount!!!

I agree, even though most evergreens grow quickly, it seems like a sad destruction of beautiful nature all for the sake of tradition.
Being of pagan background, I understand the original reason for bringing the trees inside. It was a symbol of life, a beacon of hope that the winter would soon pass and blessings were written to place on the tree, tiny scrolls and ribbons. Now days, we have nice artificial trees that hold the same symbol of everlasting green and life through the winter. It isn’t necessary to chop down thousands upon thousands of trees each year. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't just dropped off at the dump every January. I'd like to see some extra use out of the trees!
For most it's the sake of family tradition but more and more people are turning to the pleasure of nice artificial trees.
