Have a little fun! You do not have to register to play!
It has been a weird winter in Central Ohio so far... had a warm birthday and Christmas day. Not much snow either. Makes me kind of sad. Snow is my favorite part of winter.
Made out with ton of loot this year.
A stepladder for the kitchen
A new rice cooker with timer
"Ranma 1/2" Seasons 1&2
A tripod for my camera (Woot!)
Spice Racks for my dozens of spices
Lots of other stuff including some old family photos that I will scan in to preserve.
Also gave out some good gifts this year. Emma's "Beatles" messenger bag turned out to be a hit (I was so worried) and Erica was trilled to have her FuFu Berry Jone's Soda and "Sims" game. Darren was happy with his "Home Movies" Seasons 1 & 2 and whatnot and I think Mom liked her perfume and stuff. There was a lot more but I don't really think you want to read about it.
My belly "popped" you can really tell that I'm prego now. Yay, I don't just look FAT anymore! ^ ^
New Years Eve we'll spend at home together. Just me and my Darren (and the cats) We'll have some escargots and sparkling apple cider. : ) Simple and nice. Still wish I could have my sashimi though. Oh well.
How was your Christmas/Yule and what do you plan to do for New Years Eve?

Anybody want to walk with us? Better sign up quick!
I've been pretty off on blogging lately, just haven't had it in me.
A brief update on my world as I see it:
Just got back from our Anniversary vacation in Boston, it was very lovely (even though it was unseasonably HOT!) We saw many things, MIT Museum of Technology, New England Aquarium, The Museum of Science, Harvard, Quincy Market and checked out several pubs in the area. Very nice! I would go back to Boston again!
The last set of Clomid went off a little funny... not funny "ha ha." I had terrible hot flashes, strange mood swings, cramps and fatigue. That last dose was May 27th. I did not have a cycle in June and I tested negative for pregnancy on Sunday. I feel like I'm starting to have something kin to PMS now so we'll see how that goes. It was kind of a blessing to not have a cycle in June since our vacation would have landed right on top of it. Anyway, I'm a little freaked about taking Clomid again if it's going to be that weird. I was fine all the other times though... weird.
Going to Red, White & Boom tonight. If you're not from Ohio, I'll explain. It's huge... like huge-huge. They shut down half of Columbus for the event and there are masses of people flooding the streets and the riverfront. It's kind of like New Years Eve @ Time Square if you were to look at it from above. Crazy! They prepare a fireworks display cued to music that they play over loud speakers and FM radio. It lasts for about 30 minutes but events and bands play all evening long.
We were extremely lucky to get wrist bands to an exclusive party that's fenced off in a huge parking lot with security, dinner and an excellent view of the display. I hope to find a hot spot for some wifi. : ) *fingers crossed* The boys will be playing cards most of the time so I'm on my own.
Probably going down to Baltimore, Ohio or Bexley, Ohio tomorrow for festivities and fireworks. I love the 4th of July... let freedom ring in the form of thousands of fireworks thundering across the nation!!! Ok, so I like the sparkling lights! : ) It's ok, I have ADHD! : P
Got a lot of work done Sunday! I'll post in some pictures from my Flickr. Sunday morning, Darren got into cleaning mode before I woke up. He had cleaned the entire downstiars... dishes & all!
Oooo rewind a bit... Saturday night, Darren became Champion of the Ohio Pinball League for this season. He and Brian played off on all the machines in the Wamsley Basement. (hint: that's a LOT) Looks like the final standings have not been updated. The Finals will be on April 21st. This is more of a tournament date than anything. So he brought me home a Stern t-shirt. Yay! : ) Congratulations baby!
So back to Sunday... had a Cherry Limeade Icee from Burger King on the way back from London, Ohio (visiting a co-worker) EW! It is NOT Sonic, that's for sure. Gag me. Ew. I am clearly not impressed in this photo... I drank most of it anyway. Too much sugar and not enough flavor.
Meh.
I'll just know better next time.
: )
Roadtrips are for trying new things so it's ok.
We also had a lot of help mulching Sunday evening.
Some neighborhood girls decided that they'd like to come help us mulch... how adorable is this?
In the end, the house looks LOADS better! The flower beds look fresh and ALMOST tidy. There are more photos on my flickr page if you get bored and are interested in what I've planted this year.
The weather has been lovely, my strawberries (left bed) are happy and growing! Anybody want to come for a visit? I just wish the grass would come in a little better... it looks like it survived its first winter but it'll need some extra love this spring & summer. I fertalized the lawn Saturday after we came back with the mulch. We'll go through with the weed killer next month. : )
Thanks for reading!
I LOVE the diverse foods, there’s an authentic NY Deli and MAN can those guys make a sammich! There’s a nice Indian place, a Mexican place, Sushi, Chinese, Vietnamese, a coffee/tea shop among bakeries and fresh meats, organic veggies, fish and cheeses. I love the fact that I can walk though and get some quick eats without eating “fast food.”
I HATE the way I smell when I leave…
I’m not sure if it’s the Vietnamese or the Indian smells lingering in my shirt but it kind of smells like your car when you get in it a few hours after bringing home some fries from your favorite burger joint. In other words, it smells like ass.
Good thing I have clothes to change into for the gym…
Got my trusty bottle of water... trying to be a good girl and drink it. People say that water has no flavor, I beg to differ. Water tastes awful unless it is ICE COLD.
Tonight is another round of self-ass-kicking and muscle binding. This should be good. When I was finished Monday, I ended up being almost too weak to walk up the stairs when I got home. I did some serious leg work between 30 minutes on the treadmill on an incline, leg presses and leg crunch thingies. I plan to do the same tonight.
Then maybe we'll relax upstairs in bed and listen to the storms rumble through.... that would be nice.
